Ingredients

SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH WITH SWEET POTATO FRIES (GF + DF)
A new household favorite! Chicken Sandwiches with Sweet Potato Fries (GF & DF friendly)

Chicken Sandwich Patty: (Air-Fried)

  • Ground Chicken (I used 2 lbs to make about 6 patty’s)
  • Buffalo Sauce (I used Frank’s)
  • GF Corn Flakes
  • 1 TSP Paprika
  • 1 TSP Onion Powder
  • 1 TSP Cayenne
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 1 TSP Pepper
  • 1 TSP Celery Flakes
  • 1 TBSP Mustard

Toppings:

  • Butter Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Red Onion
  • Pickles
  • Microgreens
  • Mayo + Sriracha for the sauce

Sweet Potato Fries: (Oven Baked)

  • 3 Organic Sweet Potatoes
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion Powder
  • Parsley Flakes

Preparation

Chicken Sandwich Patty: (Air-Fried)

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix. Form as many palm sized patty’s as the amount and sizing allows you. In 2 separate smaller bowls, add crushed corn flakes in one bowl (I used Ezekiel flakes because I am GF right now — they work just as well!) and pour your Buffalo sauce into the second bowl. Dip your patty into the corn flakes, then immediately follow with dipping it into your Buffalo sauce. Add to your oiled and foiled air-fryer pan. (I sprits some Avocado Oil onto the pan and the top of the patty’s before I put them into the air-fryer.) Repeat until all patty’s are completed. Air-fry at 400° for 10-15 minutes.

Sweet Potato Fries: (Oven Baked)

Preheat your oven to 400°. Wash and evenly chop your sweet potatoes into long fry-like strips (I leave on the skin, you don’t have to.)

I soak mine in ice cold water and pat dry to remove some extra starches and help them get extra crispy. Evenly lay the fry’s on a foiled baking sheet. (Optional) add a dash of corn starch to give them an extra crisp. Add your EVOO and a dash of the rest of the seasonings and cook at for 45 minutes.

Once cooked, add your toppings. Butter lettuce is a great base for the chicken patty but of course you can substitute with a bun of your choice. Mix a spoonful of mayo + sriracha for your patty sauce, but it’s also great with the fries!
